Can someone with a pharmacy nearby ask about the availibility of two medications:

Tinidazole (tradenames numerous including Tini, Tiniba, Tinicide, the likely most common (Pfizer) name is Fasigyn) 500 mg, (may be 1000mg or even 2000 mg)?

Levofloxacin (tradename:Levaquin or possibly Quixin) 500 mg?

And if possible the cost in RD$/unit?

I doubt prescriptions are necessary. The first is unavailable in North America but common elsewhere in the world, and the second is quite new replacing Ciprofloxacin and I am wondering if the pharmacy stocks it or if not bring it in from the capitol.

I am coming the 28th but it would be very beneficial to know before coming if these are available.

Probably not much help...

Not sure about the first (never heard of it) but the second, Levaquin, my husband is on and he supplies his through mail order in the states through his state medical because last time we checked (6 mos ago) we could not find it anywhere. I am on the north coast though and have not checked in ages as he only comes for short stays and brings it with him.

Hope it helps.
