Entering D.R. overland from Haiti

My wife and I would like to enter the Dominican Republic overland, crossing from Haiti. What is the best border crossing to use ? Can we buy our D.R. tourist cards upon entry, at the border, or must we get them at the consulate in Haiti (if there is one). Any info on this would be much appreciated!

One of the best ways to travel would be by Terrabus, a large bus service that operates to and from Haiti every day. You can get them at the border, upon crossing.
