NEW Requierment Finger Prints (fiance visa)

My Fiance went on his interview 2 weeks ago, everything was fine except one new thing. All aplicants must get finger printed, the finger prints go to US for check up. Now we are waititng on the finger prints to get to DR and than he has to go back for the visa. Does any body knows anything about this LONG PROCESS??? please reply. Thansks

Just out of curiosity how long has your process been taking?

I have not heard about this fingerprinting thing. It sounds like it's something new they are doing. Did they tell you how long is the wait for the results of the fingerprints? I believe fingerprinting was usually done for people applying for residency.

Good Luck on a hopefully speedy process:)

I doubt that this is specific to the DR. Sounds like it is the result of the increased concern about security in the US and is probably being implemented at all embassies.
