Hello
My wife and I are interested in visiting the Doninican Republic to look at a beachfront property. Does anyone know Josefina Covents y asoc. Also how is the Sosua Bay Hotel and Marina Estrella del Mar. Which beach is best. Cabarete or Sosua? We enjoy booggie boarding, surf fishing, and hanging out with the locals. Any idea's.

I have heard only good things about Josefina Covents. I personally know two people that have used her and both have glowing reports. Yes, I have also met Josefina in person and she is really nice and very knowledgeable.

I have purchased two properties through Josefina and she also manages them for me. She does a good job.
Regarding beaches and boogie boarding, DEFINATELY Cabarete.

Sosua Bay Hotel is an excellent hotel http://www.drtravel.com/sosua_slideshow/
It is in Sosua. The other is in Cabarete and owned by same company (StarzResorts), so presume it is excellent, too http://www.starzresorts.com/ You won't go wrong with either one. For hanging out with the locals, either is good. Not aware of any surf fishing.
