I will be in town that day and wanted to see who wanted to get together for a few drinks and some fun.

I will let those interested recommend a place.

I think sdq means santo domingo... which means we will not be there :-(

I'm in the DR August 26-Sept 4. Never attended a reunion but I am interested if anyone wants to meet up with a redneck. Where will it be at and at what time? How about Champs at the Hotel Jaragua? I know where that is but name a place and time and I will find it.

I will be there to meet a fellow victim, er, I mean moderator.

But if I may suggest it, pls, not the Jaragua. The music is too loud and I end up with a hairsplitting headache every time I go there. Can anyone suggest some place where my eardrums can survive a day longer?

I will be there as well then. It would be great to meet some DR posters and help the DR economy by chugging down a few Presidentes. I have never been to the Beer Haus, what is the ambience of the place: casual, formal,(restaurant, bar, etc)? I look forward to it.

I'm scheduled to fly out on the 26th but will try and see if I can extend my trip. Isn't saturday night Merangazo Del verano as well? That will make it a tough choice.

Make sure you take some individuals pictures for the media gallery and upload them after September 1st, as I will be away till then and do not need my mailbox limit exceeded.
Enjoy the reunion and the cerveza, I will be sweating my rear end off officiating at the National Fastpitch Championships.

I asked earlier about the Beer Haus. Is it a restaurant/bar/ or a combination of both? I really like to dress for the occasion and setting: are blue jeans and nice shirt with leather shoes the proper attire for this place?

Jeans and shirt are fine. You can get finger food, it's pretty good.
It's not a high end "plastic" place :)
