Just trying to find a reasonable but nice hotel and so far Palma Real is what I am looking at. Aiming to go next weekend with hubby.

Also how can we get from Puerta Plata to Santo Domingo on our own (meaning via bus etc..NOT A TOUR)..and if so has anyone done it.
