Viva International Announces Lease of Aircraft and Executive Appointment

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 10, 2003--Viva International, Inc. (OTCBB:VIVI - News) announced this morning that it has reached an agreement on behalf of Viva Dominicana, Queen Air, Aeronaves Queen S.A. with Air Transport Group LLC and Centec Aviation Inc. to lease 2 DC-9-15 for a 3 year period. The first of these aircraft is to be delivered on or before October 20, 2003 after completion of maintenance checks and being painted in the Viva colors. Viva also announced that Oscar Hasan has been appointed as President of Dominican Operations.
Stuart Carnie, President and CEO of Viva International, Inc. said, "The DC-9's are ideal for short to medium range operations and they fit very well within the long term plans of Viva because of their proven reliability and cost effectiveness. Boeing has recognized the viability of this aircraft by utilizing the original design of the DC-9's and applying updated technology in developing the 717 series."

Robert Scott, Chairman of Viva International, Inc. announced the appointment of Oscar Hasan as President of Dominican Operations and stated, "I am pleased that Mr. Hasan has accepted the post of President of Dominican Operations. Mr. Hasan will continue to serve Viva International, Inc. as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing." Mr. Scott stated further, "It is important for us to continue the progress that the Company has made in developing its marketing plan, I envision no problem with Mr. Hasan being able to effectively serve the Company in these dual roles."

Mr. Hasan is currently on assignment in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to oversee the final installation of the Viva International reservations systems there and in select cities throughout the Caribbean.
