greatly enriched the lives of some expats in the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, including me especially.

I was lucky enough to attend one of his more memorable concerts.

Johnny Cash was a great singer and a great man.

He will be missed.

I really liked him back when he played with the Conjunta Quisqueya, but thought he lost his authenticity when he switched to bachata. Still, his recent duo effort with Johnny Ventura ("Los Dos Johnnys - En Vivo") brought back such fabulous memories.

In fact, he probably had closer ties to Latin people and culture than is commonly known. His first wife, mother of Roseanne, was Hispanic.
