Playa Grande or Casa De Campo

I'm going to the DR again in November and was wondering if I should try the teeth of the dog or is Playa Grande better ?

Playa Grande

Teeth of the dog is currently closed as more luxury villas are being built on the golf course. Both courses are beautiful but there are no great hotels in close proximity to Playa Grande. I would suggest staying in Cabarete and driving to Playa Grande
Caso de Campo is way overpriced for a place with such a lousy beach. Stay in Bayahibe and play the excellent Altos de Chavon course or Caso de Campos Links course. Both are excellent. Call ahead and maybe Teeth of the Dog will be open in November??

Thanks for the reply - I wrote before I researched when I started this thread. Someone I know mentioned Tooth of the Dog and said it was close to Playa Grande. It is on the other side of the island and I already made plans to stay on the North Coast.
