DR1 called Migration and the fee for 2-/2 years is RD$500, the max is RD$850.
I personally know many people that have overstayed and never ever had a problem paying. I did it myself many times before I had my Cedula.
You do not need to pay the immigration officer directly, if you do, then he/she is looking for a bribe. They will or should send you to the "tax office" to pay the fine and then come back to the line to pass through immigration.
