my guestion is: due to hurricane damages from 1998 and current weather conditions is it possible to visit punta cana during 1st half of june ?

Forget the hurricane. You will hardly notice one went through the DR when you come. The weather is great in Punta Cana -- 25C - 33C, with nice breezes.
