Hi folks, we have a touring Field Hockey Team here in Bermuda,
we generally tour in the states or Canada where there is a tournament with an Astro Turf field.
It is the best surface on which to play and as we don't have one here in Bermuda yet, tours are the answer to improving our skills.
Due to the fact DR recently held the Pan Am games it seemed likely DR must have an astro pitch, though exactly where I would not know. I Imagine it would be in or close to Santo Domingo?
We are thinking of touring in DR next year and if anyone can tell us or put us in contact with anyone who could be of some help we'd appreciate it.
We do like to have a drink or two and enjoy local entertainment where we tour and I expect DR would be no exception.
We would not be looking for expensive hotels, from what I see there seems to be the full range from $60 per night to $100's per night. Any advice here? And getting about we would normally get two or three minivans, is this feasible in DR?
