What a great website! Your life is way different than ours was down there. Maybe we can get out to see your farm next time we come down.

BTW, what is a blog?

Rob,

Thanks for the offer. Since I just type it up in raw HTML I might miss some of that flexiblity if I converted to a fixed tool.

Rob, I can view the page without problem...

I can't believe Mr. Ed is dead :(

sjh I sent traffic to the site from the AFS boards...tons of questions about what it is like in the DR. Actually, the parents want to know. (Of course I plugged DR1 as well.)

Great site and I love what you are doing. Best of luck and maybe experiment with some PV or small wind turbine. If I remember, you charge a battery bank off of a generator. Cabrera is a good site for this.

Tom,
Thanks for the tip. I would love to put up a wind tower but it doesnt make sence for us. We run a milking machine for about 2 hours a day and the woodshop machines keep the generator running 2 or more hours a day on top of that. The batteries get plenty of charge just running in the background.

MG.

yep Mr Ed is dead. too bad too, he was a good and gentle horse.

I put some pictures up of our newly hatched ducklings too... all 14 of them.

Sooo, should we refer to him as Mr. Dead from now on?

Pardon me if this was in bad taste, I just couldn't resist the obvious rhyme.
