Boca Chica Questions for trip in early June

I really enjoy all the informative postings. I will be making my first (of many I hope) to Boca Chica. I have some general questions and would appreciate either a posting here or email me direct. 1)Approximate taxi fare from SDQ airport to Boca Chica 2)Are the hotels crowded this time of year? In other words do I need make a reservation ahead or is it easy enough to choose when you get there? I don't want to get caught without a room, but having never been there, would like to choose one that is affordable etc. 3)Recommendations on translation books, etc..can they be bought local? 4)Do the casino's have slot machines or are they just black jack etc? 5)Are most of the hotels in walking distance to the main street of Boca Chica?

As for hotels and reservations, it depends on what type of accomodations you're looking for. If you want a four-star hotel, which might cost from $75 a night and up, you may want to make reservations. If it's just a place to sleep, don't worry about it...just go and you'll find lots of places for around $40, which will give the basics, and you'll be close to everything since Boca Chica's really small. As for the casinos, they've got everything...all the slot machines you could want, plus many games you see in casinos everywhere. ENJOY!!
