on the internet, everything seems REALLY expensive there...can anyone suggest a place more resonably priced...don't want a dive, but not need cable tv either..:)

Been using this one for 7 happy years

"Villa Caracol" on a little road ("Calle Chicago Boss") off the beach (809-240-6078) is about $25 or less, is clean, with ac, fridge, hot water bath and security box, no tv in room, small restaurant downstairs. Particularly nice Dominican people run it; in super quiet setting about 2 minutes walk to the beach.

one last thing...

What's the best way to get from the air port at Punta Cana to Las terrenas...and how long does it and how much should I pay? Thanks for this informaiton!
