I'd like to thank everyone who posted information about the strike. We also hope to some day retire/live in the DR and this board has been invaluable for a "reality check". We still hope to one day live there, but reading about people's experiences and what is happening in the country definitely helps to take the stars (or sand) out of the eyes.
I am certain, that if and when we ever do decide to take the plunge, with the help of all of you guys, it will be a much more realistic move.
