-The Pan Am Games facilities are collecting dust and rust. Just like I predicted, it would not take a few months before all these facilities get buried under tall grass. Who is going to play "balonmano"? Of course the director of the Balonmano federation is on the lam. He took all the money with him.

-By the time the eliminatory competitions end, we will end up with little or no participation in Athen's summer games. Our athletes, which looked so good at the Pan Am games, just don't meet the international criteria for the Olympics. It's not the same thing facing second rate athletes in Santo Domingo and meeting the world class contingent at the world games.

-Athens is having the same problems we had. Cost overruns, accidents(five workers dead so far) and delays. Does it sound familiar...and what for????

Catch 22? The gov't in order to save money can use these unused facilities to store all the goods for free that it purchased overseas now sitting on the docks and in storage at Haina accumulating storage fees. The Catch 22, to do so it must pay the fees to release the cargo from the port and the gov't claims it does not have the money. Regards, PJT
