New Years Eve Celebrations: North Coast

I've been lurkin on this board for roughly 2 years now and I have never been able to find info on new years eve celebrations. As we are going to be arriving on Dec. 30th I was wondering if anyone could inform me as to whats going on at various bars in Sosua, Cabarete or even Puerto Plata. We are staying at the Breezes but would be willing to travel for the party.

Also, another question is how hard is it to get reliable (preferably sober) cab service back to the hotel on new years?

We won't be meeting you's for dinner as we are staying at the resort with ma for that part of it but I'm sure we'll make it into town after midnight!
