Not trying to get into trouble. But does anyone have any experiance with the Esse ranges out of England. They have a line of Diesel burning ranges that require no elsectricity and from what I see they look to be quit classy. This is there websight. Like I said I do not know anything about them. Maybe some of the Brits could comment. http://www.ouzledale.co.uk/cookers/cookerOil.asp

At those prices I can have

a top of the line Kenmore, GE or similair range.

Those are almost VULCAN professionals prices...RD$80,000 for a stove? Yeah, right!

I grew up with Esse wood burning or coal burning stoves in Africa. They were top of the line then - being a good English stove, I think they are still top of the line.

John, get a propane gas cooker! and possibly an electrical two burner thing that you can use when you have electricity.

Haven't we covered this in another thread?

Think propane, only a complete fool would look at diesel stoves here. It's going to cost you a fortune just to get it into the country!
