Still I don't understan why politicians months before the end of the gov.period they want to take all the advantage possible from the Island in economic way.

Also why the Gas is more spensive in DR than Canada and US?
because is imported is not answer.

I dont read so much about other Island like Guyana, Jamaica,Pamana city, Turks and Caikos but are those contries having the same kind of problem like Dominican Rep?

And why not? Basic economics. The US and Canada produce a large % of the Gasoline they use. The rest is imported in vast quantities. Kind of like buying in bulk.

The DR produces 0 gasoline and the amount imported is insignificant on the world market. Combine that with the declining Peso. Profit taking by the Goverment Cartel(Taxes) and you have higher priced Gasoline.
