medical care on the north coast

He Everyone,
I am new to the forum but have read quite a bit on here. Great information. My husband and I are retired and are contemplating a move to the DR in late summer/early fall.

Our realtor, Dean Brown, says that KEN is an expert on the local medical situation more than he is so I am hoping to make contact with him.

We have good medical from the US and Canada but will still purchase additional in the DR. We are hoping to get an accurate assessment of the facilities and level of care in the private hospitals/clinics.

We are both very active, in good health and take no medications, just vitamin supplements, but you neeeeeever know.

Also if anyone can tell me about the dentist situation in on the north coast I would appreciate it. We have dental insurance.

So Ken, if you are listening and anyone else with an experience to tell we will appreciate your input!!

Thank you so very much for this informative site! Why reinvent the wheel.... Dean was so right! Thank you and I know I will be calling on you and the forum again soon! I have printed this out for my DR book of facts that I am accumulating... it will be in the front!

Thanks for your input! Sabine Mertes will be our insurnace agent and even though she says George and I have enough insurance from other sources we will go ahead and get EVEN MORE! Hah.... thanks.... I agree ... you can never have enough...

Again thanks for your information...we need all we can. We are lucky in that was are just 90 minutes from my home, Miami, but I never take anything like this for granted. I am retired law enforcement so I am always looking out for the situation... thanks again!!! Susan and George
