Can anyone tell me what type of routine maintenance is required of a Tinaco/Water Tank?

Thanks.

I had mine installed 5 years ago.
No maintenance so far, nothing.
Allways had water since.

John, can't tell you the details but periodically the one on the roof of our complex stops working and requires the maintenance man to open a valve that has gotten blocked.

Also, good idea to drain and clean them thoroughly every few years.

The main problem of a properly installed tank is sediment. Depending on the amount of silt in your water, it may need to be cleaned out occasionally.

In some tinacos, fungus growth can be a big problem although Tinacom tinacos claim fungus resistance and mine hasn''t incurred any problems in that regard yet. The tinaco at another place I lived had a horrible fungus problem but it was hardly ever used and evidently not of a fungus resistant material.
