I apologize to all if I am doing this incorrectly! I am still attempting to learn my way around the forum. I have changed my mind and would now like to study Spanish in Santiago rather than Santo Domingo. However, I am having a dreadful time finding any kind of language school there. I don't want to go to an expensive university; I am not working on a degree, etc.--just want to continue a rather casual study of the language I love. If anyone knows the name of some schools I could contact, I would be most appreciative. Gracias por (para?) tu ayuda!!

That's "por" ......Okay, try this

Santiago has a Berlitz that teaches Spanish for Foreigners. the PUCMM has a Spanish for Foreigners Department. Classes start August, January and mid to late May

And there are several private tutors around. Besides, in Santiago you are in a pretty Spanish total immersion situation.

Let me know if I can be of assistance.
