Hello, I know there has already been a post about the situation in Haiti, however I wanted to know if there are any updates. I will be traveling to the Dominican Republic the week of March 21st and wanted to know if I should be concerned with my safety. If anyone has any insight, please let me know because I can cancel my trip up to the last minute. Has anyone been to the Dominican Republic lately or live there to know how it is at this time? Thanks for your help!

If it wasn't for the news media, we wouldn't even know Haiti had a problem.
It has absolutely no effect on the DR. You have more chance of getting mugged on your door step of your house than the Haiti situation affecting you in the DR. Do you leave your house? I'm sure your getting the idea
