I am travelling to DR this July and have just changed my hotel to the Iberostar after reading excellent reviews about it and poor ones about the hotel I had originally booked.
The reason I had overlooked this hotel was because of its location as it seemed to be quite a way from the other hotels in Playa Dorada and the shopping malls etc. Could any-one tell me if there are shops nearby? and how far it is on foot to Playa Dorada?
I don't want to book my trips through the reps and wondered if there are any other places selling trips apart from in the mall at Playa Dorada?
Any information will be gratefully received.
