Hi,

I'm new here, as you can see. I'm not a English native speaker, but I'll do my best ;)

I'm thinking about going to Las Terrenas next year for improving my Spanish.

Now I have a few questions:

1.
Does anybody know the school "Instituto de Espa?ol Santo Domingo"(sic!) Las Terrenas / Playa Bonita?

Is this school ok?

I only found other dominican schools in Santo Domingo but I'd prefer to stay near the beach, because it will be the vacation from work as well.

2.
I read in a travel guide, that this place is a bit expensive compared to other dominican places. Is this true? How is it compared to Sto. Domingo?

3.
How is the infrastructure there? Is everything (supermarkets, restaurants, night life) reachable by foot (approx. 15 to 30 min. walk)?

4.
Health: Is malaria a big problem there? Against which diseases I should be really vaccinated for a 3 to 4 week stay during december and march?

TIA for any useful answers.
