If the evening western sky is clear, just at sunset, get ready for a seldom seen heavenly display. All the visible planets will be seen for the next week.

Take a look. http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2004/19mar_planets.htm

My daughter's school is doing a large observation science project this week to observe the planets aligned so beautifully. We will be out in the cold night air each night to see our planets partners in space. You are just lucky that you can view it while dressed in summer-wear (hopefully with a Presidente in hand!). It's going to be -15 tonight with the wind chill! Have fun and we will be think of you when seeing Mercury on the horizon tonight at 7:45 our time. Toby

Cold air? What cold air. What is cold air anyway?

Ottawa weather for tonight is forcasted at -15 Celcius with a wind chill by 8:00pm to bring temperature to a frosty -26 Celcius. I read your forcast report at your location every chance i get just to feel warmth from the computer. Our furnice is running full tilt and today we had our front door frozen shut due to dramatic warm cold systems over our area.
Enjoy the starry evening as we will also be watching the night sky!

At least there will not be any mosquitos!
