With the Peso so weak against the dollar, does this mean that for tourists The DR is Very affordable or have Hotels and Restaurants adjusted their prices accordingly?

On the North Coast several times even a month.

Regarding hotel rates and restaurant prices, the depreciation of the peso works to your advantage as increases in foreign currency have been minimal and usually only when services have been added or considerably improved.

The hotels tend to charge in US$ so they have kept prices pretty much the same for a while ( of course they are paying salaries and some costs in pesos, so the real impact has probably been power and generator fuel for when there is no power).

Restaurants held steady for a long time then just about doubled prices on everything across the board. Still it is not a lot of $$ to eat here, e.g. a typical entree is under RD$300 so that is less than US$6.25.
