Every Dominican men I have come in contact with from my father, cousins, friends, the list goes on and on, everyone of them have cheated at some point in their lives. No matter how happy their marriage has been or what kind of life thier leading. Why is this? Is it in their nature? Is it something that it is just cultural?

It's in our genes...There's nothing we can do to avoid this, specially when you girls are walking around in your tight, low cut jeans tempting us. In addition the more we cheat the more you love us. As a matter of fact any Dominican man who never cheats is not looked upon favorably by Dominican women.

I just need to tell you that you are generalizing. You said it "your father", "your cousins" and "your friends". Just because that is all you see does not means that EVERY dominican man cheat. I am not saying that most don't do but since I know of a few that have never done it, I have to tell you that in order for you to say that, I gather that you knocked on every home on the entire island and did a survey about it and EVERY man told you that they did. The same can be said about every men in all countries, then. Sex is sex and it's a VERYYYYY good thing so no matter is you are from Mars or the DR, SOME will cheat. Now if you are saying that some or most dominican cheat, my response would have been "yes, some or most do". I know SOME of my friends cheat but I also know that a relative of mine that has been married for over 30 years and is still in love with his wife and have never cheated. How I know that he have never done it?, I guess that one needs to see them in person to see the love that these 2 have for each other because they still treat each other like honeymooners. It took me years to believe it but in now I really do. Besides, some guys would just blabber about having a "trophy" on the side.

I believe it is low self-esteem

This also cuts both ways. They need to re-affirm who they are as men, etc. if they can have more than one female. It is also a reflection of weakness induced by socialization. When you are brought up believing that his is ok to do and it is constantly reinforced by *females* around you this also adds to it. Imagine if your mother, sister also help to sponsor this behavior and the key influencial male role models practise this behavior (and support activities that degredation of women like taking their sons to strip clubs/hookers, etc.) how can it truly be eliminated? It all starts at home.

You took words right out of my mouth. I wouldn't call it cheating if you do it wide open. I have been caught many times by my wives with other cute girls. guess what, they try hard to get me more interested in them. Some even dump me but then some come back to me. For every girl that dumps me, 4 more are available to embrace me. We are not faithful, simply becuase we don't have to be. Hahahaha. I love this country.
The fun never stops in this country. Just ask larry.

www.
There are many many faithful couples. Among my circle of Dominican friends, infidelity is the exception, not the norm.

Have you heard this phase?

Men can be dogs! Well don't insult my dog, he will always be faithful to his death!

Most Dominican men feel entitle to cheat, I have the same experience with all my brothers, uncles, but found that my father has not had the opportunity to be unfaithful to my mother, he is living there and he is allready 86 1/2 and some of my fathernal grandmothers brothers where faithful. There are a small percentage of Dominican men that faithful. that is why I DID NOT MARRY ONE.

All the men in my family are extremely unfaithful even though they're happily married. It is a way of life passed down from generation to generation. You know, like my father before me, etc. etc.

Why they do it? I haven't the slightest. It must be the heat o que siempre estan embriagados? Muchas cervezas, mucho tiempo libre.

You just re-affirmed my point. Of course you've never met a Dominican man who's faithful. To those that say that they know people who are faithful, I want to say that just because you have no knowledge of that person cheating doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Some people are just more discrete than others. Everybody has done it. It is expected and taught as grow up. Also like AZB said I don't call it cheating, just fullfilling your duties to nature...

The reason Dominican men are unfaithful is that their wives or girlfriends do not satisfy them. There are only three things in life than men and women ever fight about. Sex, Money and Children. Every argument you have ever had in a relationship stems from one of these issues.

For some reason the female thought process differs from man. They always want to deal from the emotional side throwing logic out the window. For example: ?let?s have sex?, not now, I don?t feel like it. Logic says why not, it won?t kill you or even make you sick so why do you have to feel like it? Can I buy a new dress? Okay, go earn some money and buy what ever you want. Johnnie is failing in school; it may be a medical problem. I say that we beat the heck out of him more often and his grades will improve.

The problem as I see it is that we have been too soft on women. It?s a cruel world out there and if you do not understand your mans wants and needs, he will cheat on you every time. So clean up your act, fix a great meal, shed a few pounds, and put on some make-up for gods sake.

If you want a life's companion ala 7th Heaven style don't marry a dominican man. The majority of DR men are drunks, women beaters, cheaters, jealous, abusive, untalkative, unfriendly and demeaning of women. They're a notch down on the evolutionary scale. Get married to a gringo for comprehension, equality, care, sympathy and aid in all chores.

I have been accused of being worse than a dominican man. Hahahah
anyway, my point is that all men are more or less the same. In USA its not so easy to get action and if you get caught, you pay with a divorce and lose kids and your home. Here, we don't lose a thing. That is why so many foreign men convert to instant pigs the moment they land on this island. Almost all the married american, canadian or european men who come in santiago for business, get action after the meetings. Just go to casa blanca or other whore houses and you will always see a few american business men having fun. Their hosts always get them chica beepers (call-girls from local universities) and give them private parties right in their hotel rooms. I have yet to meet a faithful business man who would refuse action. In fact, thats the only thing they have on the minds when they come to santiago. Dominicans guys only have a bad reputation, but believe me, your husbands are no angels. Take it from a guy who has hooked up countless married men with one night stands. Men will always be men.

Why do men cheat? Because monogamy is unnatural for a man.

Why are there some men who don't cheat? Beacause they haven't been caught yet.

Stupid comment!

This is a very stupid comment. I know many businessmen who would not do these kind of things. I believe you have a very distorted view of what a real man stands for. A real man has dreams and ideals that are far above the daily concern of pssy chasing game. Actually, real men don't even chase women, they're the one getting chased daily and by very beautiful women! Show me the cutest girls you know in Santiago and you'd be surprised that I would not even take a look at them. Also, if you cheat, don't get surprised you'll get cheated on too! Does this cheating circus make you a real man? Come on kid, it's time to grow up.

Sight Impared

Show me the cutest girls you know in Santiago and you'd be surprised that I would not even take a look at them.

There is something unnatural about this. Not even look? Oh, sorry to hear you are sight impared.

By the way AZB, I have switched to Cialis. At 59 it seems to work better.
