Before the suffrage begins

It was on a late afternoon in the year 1970. Marta was screaming to her lungs she was calling Ramona "Ramona pendeja ven te estoy esperando voy a salir" Ramona answers " Manita no me llames pendeja porfavor ahi voy" Marta was getting ready to go to the city (Santiago) to buy some clothing with Richard which was her man. Ramona was coming up the hill with two buckets of water and one bucket of clothing. Paulina (Ramona?s daughter) was playing with a stick Barbie (Maria palito) all up until Rosa came slapped her and started screaming " mami mira esta fangosa me esta dando aaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" Marta came and started pulling Paulina. Then Ramona came and said " Que le haces a mi nina?".

Richard came in his luxurus car. "Marta are you ready to go ?" Richard says. "Yes babe just give me one second ill be right out there I have to deal with a little pain now" "oh ok. Let me guess is it Paulina giving you all that trouble ?"Richard says "Yes shes pulling my princess hair" After Marta slapped Paulina until she got tired , she took Marta shooping. They went shooping every week but, this week was different they bought extra clothing because Marta was going to Acapulco, Mexico. On this trip Rosa was not going because it was there fifth "hunnymoon" and the trip was extremely long.

They were going in Richard?s private plane. The day came for Marta to leave for Acapulco. That day Marta left to Acapulco Marta left instructions for Ramona one of them was to keep Paulina 100 feet away from her daughter. Another rule was to have a separate refrigirator because she did not want to get the germs that supposedly Ramona and Paulina ate. While in Acapulco Marta called Ramona and she toolled her "Ay malnacida no sabes de lo que te estas perdiendye ten mucho cuidado como tratas a mi nina querida si a ella le pasa alguna se mueren tu y tu hija apestosa." Marta was going to explode she called again but nobody picked up the phone there Marta thought that there was something going wring and that she had to go back to the Dominican Republic as soon as possible. She teels Richard all that happens and Richard tells her "Baby you know how kids lie you know that your sister will never do something like that she is too scared of what you might do to her. That same day Richaed confesed something extremely important to Marta he told him a truth that will change her all around. He said. "Honey I want to tell you that I love you but I also want to tell you that Paulina is my daughter therefore Rosa and Paulina are half sister." There was a deep silence and Richard was wating for the worst reaction ever but instead he got " Oh baby do not worry about it everything is alright". In Acapulco Richard and Marta spended 17 days and then in the evening at around 6:30 they departed from the Acapulco International Airport. They were heading to Santo Domingo Las Americas International Airport where Richard lives.

The Pilot arrived quite late and he tells Richard "Mr. I prefer that we fly tomorrow because I was wathcing the weather in the Dominican Republic and it is not very good it is also very late. Richard answers " No my wife wants to leave today and that is why I pay you." They departed at 7:21 pm and it was estimated for them to arrive at 11:02 pm. For the first three hours the flight was good not much change. All of a sudden The captain says "Mr and Ms. Moore It is suggested that you wear your seat belts we are entering the Mona passage and there is going to be a lot of turbulence there" Richard wore the seat belt but Marta refused to do so. As time passed the turbulence began becoming bigger and bigger and Marta began getting scared. She wore the seat belt rapidly and for ones in her life she started to pray.Richard didn?t know what was going to happen. There was almost no visibility. Things were not going right. The captain said "Mr. And Ms. Moore I believe that we are going to crash" There was not much able to do. The plane kept moving rarely.

The plane went up and down up and down everything was crazy. For once Marta felt that the plane engine stopped working she screamed "NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO my daughter without a mother NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO" Eveeyboby was wating for the worst. In Santo Domingo Las Americas International Airport the planes were not able to land. All planes heading to Las Americas International were diverted to Cibao International Airport in Santiago, Dominican Republic. All of a sudden the plane started to decend. Marta got very exicited. She saw land. They were arriving at the airport.

Part two of preview

Everybody was waiting for the worst. In Santo Domingo Las Americas International Airport the planes were not able to land. All planes heading to Las Americas International were diverted to Cibao International Airport in Santiago, Dominican Republic. All of a sudden the plane started to descend. Marta got very excited. She saw land. They were arriving at the airport. Marta was wrong the captain decided to give up and to leave the plane by it self a few seconds later the plane crashed near the Duarte peak. No survivors. The next morning that was the headline of all newspapers and in the television. When Ramona heard the news she got terrified. She started crying and she did not know how to explain to Rosa the terrible thing that had happened to her mother and to her father. In the evening Ramona sat with Rosa and she told her "Mi hija querida yo te amo pero te voy a decir una cosa que vas a llorar mucho te voy a decir que tu mama y tu papa murienron en el avion." Rosa could not believe how could this be happening to her. She cried for three days and she did not eat for one week. Many years passed and both Paulina and Rosa went to the same High school.

There Paulina was always in the first honors and Rosa was always in the probation list. There was this boy called Marc and Rosa loved him. She wanted to be his girlfriend very desperately but Marc?s eyes were only for Paulina. Paulina did not want to be Marc?s Girlfriend because Paulina knew that Rosa loved him. Marc was always trying to make Paulina feel good. Rosa noticed this and she told her "Look like prostitute I see you near Marc and you will regret this for the end of your life you heard me? Marc?s heart is only for me" Paulina tells her " Yes Rosa I know that your heart is only is but he is the one following me what can I do ?". Because Rosa believed that what Paulina said was stupid she started slapping her and cursing her all up until Ramona had to separate them.

That day Rosa went to church and she swared that she was going to make paulina suffer until her death came and if this had to cause her own death she did not really care. Time passed and Rosa was planning something on Paulina. Paulina thought that they were back to normal like always but this time was different. Rosa got Marc so tired that Marc was her boyfriend for one week. Still Rosa said that she was going to make Paulina suffer till her death. Rosa decided that she was going to Mirka which was one of her best friends and was a person which made positions to kill people, she was a witch. When Rosa arrived at Mirka?s house she explained the entire problem. Rosa said "I want to make Paulina suffer a lot but yet I don't want to kill her I think that it is too sudden to do this. Mark give me a good advice. Mark tells her with joy "Well if you do not want to kill Pauline you can kill her mother and you know that it will have a tremendous impact on her."

With a joyful face Pauline said " My god I think that you are just a genius. I want you to make me a special potion that will kill in 15 minutes." Mirka answers "Miss your word is a command." Two days later the potion was ready. Rosa went to pick it up and paid Mirka RD$2000 (US$ 4000 at around the 1960?s). This was something top-secret. Rosa was still thinking how she was going to do this. She thought "Well, if one day I don't go to school and paulina goes I give my dear aunt a cup of juice that can be it after that I will leave for 30 minutes and then that will be it. I have to go and get Paulina and do the little stupid acting like always." Two days later the plan was ready to go. In the morning when Rosa woke up she claimed that her stomach had pain and she couldn't go to school she thought that she had to go to the hospital. Rosa tells Paulina "I need your pay check cause I feel sick so leave it on top of the table." Paulina answers "Alright no problem I will leave it before I leave to school today.

Do you want me to tell any of the teachers anything?" Rosa looks at Paulina like if she told her to kill herself and she answers " When have you ever done that remember any time they ask you for me you say you don?t know stick that to your rotten brain you say you do not know OK ?" Paulina ate breakfast left the money and she headed to school. She was feeling strange and did not want to go to school but she thought of her mother and all the beautiful words she told her and she decided to keep going. When she arrived at school she felt like going back so strongly but she thought of her mother and she kept going. Paulina?s mother was her hope and what kept her going. At home, Ramona found very weird that Rosa was making breakfast for her. When she started to eat the breakfast she noticed that the breakfast tasted delicious and she decided to eat it all. Rosa was nervous she said to herself "Please God let this plan work you know that I have to take revenge on Paulina help me God." Five minutes passed after Ramona drank the juice but nothing seemed to happen. Rosa got even more scared and she decided to go and get Mirka.

She told Ramona "Vieja, Im going to go to Mirka?s house for a while." Seconds after Rosa left Ramona started to feel very weird she knew that she was going to die and somehow she knew what happened her heart told her everything. Ramona decided to write a letter telling her daughter all she thought happened. After Ramona finishes writing the letter she slips it under the coach and she lays in the floor. I love you Paulina were her last words. A few minutes after Rosa arrives with Mirka and she bursts out a laughter she just couldn't hold it a few minutes later Tota (Emilia?s mother) and she sees the body lying there in the floor. Tota runs and takes the bus to the school which Paulina attended and Tota gave her the bad news. She said "Paulina te voy a decir una cosa pero te tienes que calmar Tu mama murio." Paulina couldn?t believe what her ears were listening. She dropped the books and ran out of the school. She was waiting for the bus when on the other side of the street she sees Rosa and Mirka. All of a sudden both Mirka and Rosa start crying. They told Paulina what happened. As Rosa was telling her what was happening, Emilia comes and she talks to Paulina and she tells her that she will do anything possible to help her out on anything she needed. Paulina waited two more minutes for the bus but since she was that the bus was not coming she decided to run to her house. It was 6 kilometers and she got to her house in two hours. By that time the house was full of people. Paulina found very weird that the body was not there she asks "But where is the body?" somebody answers " Martin took her to the hospital."

Paulina was waiting for Rosa to get money from her to go to the hospital but what Paulina did not know what was that Rosa and Mirka were celebrating their triumph at a bar. It was 5 PM and Rosa had not arrived Paulina decided to borrow money from a neighbor and to take a taxi to the hospital. There the doctor told her that her mother did not died that she had been killed by some potion given by somebody. Paulina could not believe it. She never thought that Rosa was the one which committed the crime. She always thought that this was an accident.

That night Paulina was forced by Rosa to sell herself to get the enough money to bury Ramona. Many moths happened and Paulina and Rosa had to move to another location because they did not have enough money to pay the rent there. Paulina decided to move to a small room with Rosa. Rosa and Paulina told Mirka to clean the house and to put the bed and the chair they had in the car. While Mirka was cleaning the house and lifting the bed she found the letter that Ramona had written. When Mirka read the letter she got very scared and she decided not to tell anybody not even Rosa and to hide the letter in house. The same day that Paulina and Rosa were moving Rosa meet a man named Angel which was a drug dealer and had a lot of money. She told angel "Hey man you like girls right?" Angel answers "Yes you can call that an obsession" She tells him "Well since you like woman a lot I have a proposal for you I want you to abuse my sister I will think of how I want it to be done and I will call you to your number." Rosa and Angel agreed. Three days later Rosa calls Angel and she tells him "Hey baby I got everything set up but I cant talk here lets meet in El Valle Restaurant I will tell you all about it. Two hours later they meet and Rosa told him the entire plan and he agreed.

The plan was that in the night Rosa was going to leave the door open and he was going to go in and abuse her. Angel was going to cover his face for that she would not be able to recognize him. In the night this happened Paulina was trying to get off Angel but it was useless. Angel abused her. A few months later angel was in New York and in the Dominican Republic she was feeling sick and she was vomiting she also was dissy. Rosa knew what was happening. Paulina was pregnant. 8 months after the violation Paulina was ready to give birth. As soon as this happened Rosa called Angel and she told him everything which was happening. She told him that Paulina needed money and the money which he sended her she took for herself. Paulina was excited and she made clothing for her daughter. Rosa hated the little girl she screamed too much and according to Rosa that baby was butt ugly. Paulina named the girl Patricia because that was her mother?s second name. Rosa had another bright idea she decided to tell Angel to pick up Patricia and to take her to New York.

One night angel arrived and he took Patricia. On the next morning when Paulina saw that Patricia was not in the bed she started screaming and crying but there was nothing she could do the baby was already in the United States. Paulina went to the police precinet. 10 years later Angel comes back. Angel and Paulina fall in love. Rosa could not beleve that this was happening. It was incredible. The day that Paulina was sick she had to work or else that week she will not get paid for that entire week. Paulina felt very tired every day but she had to keep on. Jose was just terrible and she did not know what she was going to do with him. He was always cursing people out and was always doing the oppisite of what people told them. For these reasons some people hated him. Every time Arnaldo got into a fight Ricardo was always there but for the most part Carlos was always scared and he just stayed to the side. On the other hand Arnaldo said that it was none of Ricardo?s business and that he should just mind it. The family was a happy one but they had a terrible mistake they thought that the truth was never going to be known.

She did as the boy told him and at the end of the day Jose returned all his books and was ready to go, Nobody knew what was wrong with him he was just not acting like the normal kid he use to act like the only kid in the school that actually knew what was happening to Jose was Leo. Even thought Leo did not know what Jose was planning Leo told Jose ?Look man if you are trying to drop out its just not going to happen. In other words what ever you are trying to do it wont work do come back to the you I know not this person that is just so weird. Jose was going to be taken to the tower and he was asleep. Angel was very scared. He did not want Jose to wake up in the car. All the truth was going to be revealed. When they got to the tower the procedure was taken just like if it was a normal child he was thrown into a room. There Jose woke up and he asked ?Where am I?? The man who took him there just told him to wait and then Dialo came in. He was the boss of everyone and everything. His faced was half burned like in rats ate it and then the other part had many red dots. He started to speak to Jose and he told him ?Look here I aint for no crap. That?s the first thing.

You can be here for as short as a month or as long as you die or we kill you. This got Paulina scared and she told Rosa ?Oh dear sister do you think that Jose went to meet his others three brothers? I am so worried I fell so much like going to New York and fixing everything up but I cant.

While Angel was thinking in his bed Jose was sleeping in a floor with two rats. That morning he woke up and he said ?No I cannot continue with this same plan it is not good I am getting mistreated with it this is not the correct choice. Well Maybe if it is a 360 degree that will help me I will try it out. Even thought I can tell Jan the truth he is a nice person and I know that he is going to understand me. Maybe he will be able to help me. I know that he will not tell Dialo nothing, I hope that my dad will come like a hero and he will come and save me and he will teach Dialo a good lesson that way he will not kidnap children. I wonder how did I get here and who knew that I was coming that informed Dialo that I was coming I wonder? This was the only thing that Dialo said and then he left the room. Jose was excited that basically meant that he was going to have a greater opportunity of escaping. One minute later the doors open again Jose turns around he does not want to hear the bad news. He thought that it was Dialo telling him that he was not going to move to the apartment.
