What's Lesbianism like in DR? I'm talking about casual lesbianism like one time encounters. Will these women who sleep with men for 50 pesos sleep with women too? How would a female go about getting laid by a female in the DR?

50 pesos is out of the question.
There is a possibility of getting the service your friend requires, as long as the women have those tendencies to begin with.
Most of the Dominican women would not go there, other than the really hard core working ladies who will do tricks with your dog for the right price.
Alanindr just showed up and is about to go over to the whorehouse next door to inquire about availability and pricing.

I think alot of the prostitutes are bi but are not in the habit of servicing women for money. That dosent mean that they wouldn't do it but I dont think they are used to women foreigners approaching them. If your friend is sexy she would probably have a gay experience for free. Have fun CW.

They will if they are friends, they will likely be faking it, though. Homosexuality in all its forms is a big taboo in the DR but there is a thriving gay community just below the surface, however this is generally middle to upper class, sex workers need not apply.

However, sex workers will sleep with men they don't know and dont't like for a few bucks, so faking the same with a friend is no biggie, you have to pay them both though.

According to in depth interviews, the current price a woman would pay to the accepting woman is 1500 pesos plus the room. No doubt these services can be further negotiated.
The 50 peso for a lay is out of date, perhaps due to the currently devalued peso. None of the women were interested in my 50 peso bill but one did indicate if a zero was added, they would dance naked on my table. Going rate for sex is 1000 to 1500. Of course it all depends on the environment, disco girls are a bit more pricey. Obviously looks also affect the price.
I'll happily do more reseach as you require.

I meant 50 bucks... I had a brain freeze thinking peso=dollar.

So would my friend just go up to a hooker and say, "Let's get it on?" or would she have to go through her pimp?

No "pimps" to go through. This is not Hollywood Blvd. or whatever. And 50 bucks..Jesus! 50 bucks is a lot of money to these girls. Thats 2,500 pesos. If your friend wants to throw 50 bucks around, she could probably get two girls in the sack with her at once!

There is one lesbian bar I know of in Zona Colonial. Amazonia. It used to be a gay bar and I liked going there to dance. But the last time I went it was definatly WOMEN. I didn't know it changed when I went in. But it was not a tacky place. It was definatly gay. In fact, they had a guy at the door stopping most straight looking men from entering. I don't know why they did this.

But before this bar was a small gay bar, not like Aire. I even met some TV personalities there that you woulda never thunk they lived the alternate life style.

No Larry that can't be done. This isn't a dating service. People can post about finding what they need in the DR but not post just to find a date/sex partner. But a pic can be posted in the media gallery I'm sure.

CW I did checked with Alan and he did indeed go over and ask the question and if they said yes at that location I'm sure it won't be a problem finding someone in any part of the country where hookers hang out.
