Others I have got used to now:-
IMO - in my opinion
IMHO - in my HUMBLE opinion
PoP - Puerto Plata
PC - Punta Cana
BC - Boca Chica
SD or Sto. Dgo - Santo Domingo

I think there are a number of others that people make up as they go along, but if you want to see the QUEEN of them all, visit a thread posted by Vanessa (but for GOD's sake, don't give her the chance to post again!!!). - Grahame.

Sometimes people use the airport code to denote a city.

For example:

SDQ = Santo Domingo
STI = Santiago
