Depending on how fast you drive, how much of the countryside you want to see & how many stops you want to make, .... between 3 1/2 - 4 hours. Miss the left turn at Nagua & it will take you a damn site longer!! - Grahame.

I really shouldn't but what the he!!.

From Cofres? turn LEFT towards the east. Follow your nose. When you come to the second trafic circle with the ball park right in front of you, go to the right.

Follow that road, with the occasional stops for "fr?as" and "carne frita" or "Pescado frito" with "tostones". You go through the towns of Cabarete, Gaspar Hernandez, R?o San Juan, Cabrera and then you come to Nagua.

In Nagua, the turn off to the Saman? Peninsula is a bit difficult, BUT it is a major intersection and lots of traffic will be going that way. However, it is a very hard left, in fact going back a bit, Like going around the top part of a Y, you understand? Signs should say NAGUA perhaps more than Saman?.

Once on that road you just follow it along the beach and through the rice fields, over a nice bridge, then up and over some hills, and come down into NAGUA. In Nagua, there is a fork in the road and you stay on the left. This takes you to the Samana road direct. (As long as you go east, there is no way you can get lost, really.)

In Saman? you are on your own. There is an internet caf? called Las Olas there on the waterfront. Just tell her that Hillbilly sent you.. HEHE
