While searching old archives for something, I found a post by Golo, from July 5th 2003 that ended with these words:

We may even be touched by a hurricane or two before the year is over, and who knows, Hippo is such a bad omen, we may get an earthquake. What else can go wrong?

As the old proverb says, if you throw enough sh## at the wall, some WILL stick! and Golo has thrown his share, hehehe.

As far as Golo hoping "that gas goes up all the way to 100 pesos a gallon so that nobody drives anymore", so that he can drive on empty roads, there's more tapones now than there were before.
