Hi everybody!

I was wondering if there are any advises about long-term rental (1 year) in Puerto Plata. We're looking for an apartment for 2 persons with all the basic things like "planta", etc. Price range up to 20,000 DOP. We currently live or better "stay" in an apart-hotel in Sosua, but I feel Puerto Plata is better for our purposes. Sosua is too touristy ;-)

Advise from people who have recently rented something is greatly appreciated.

Apartment in Puerta Plata

Dear Locofoto,

Check out this website: http://home.cogeco.ca/~ochovillas. This a website for Ocho Villas. Both my husband and I have stayed here - it's clean, well-maintained, safe, close to amenities, has a planta, and is within a 5 minute walk from a lovely beach.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. It looks nice for a holiday. But in comparison to what we have now it would be less. We currently have a cathedal ceiling (it just feels great!) and the apartment is very large. I need some space to work as well.

As said earlier we currently pay 20,000 DOP now. There should be something similar in Puerto Plata or Costambar.

Thanks!
