Looking for Info. on Tropical Princess

Hello,

My husband and I will be going on vacation on October 21 (my first vacation!!) and we will be staying at the Tropical Princess in Punta Cana. Has anyone stayed there? Any information on this resort will be greatly appreciated. Also, what about tipping? I was a waitress for years so therefore I'm a really generous tipper, should we tip the same precentage as we do here in Canada? Usually approx. 20% (assuming the service is good). Thanks in advance.

Usually the hotel has a 15% gratuity auto. charged to you through your purchased all inclusive package. If you read the fine print - gratuities included. I am in the service industry and am a very generous tipper - so i will leave an extra something for the maid in the room, in an envelope with her name on it - GET TO KNOW YOUR MAID's NAME:) - as they can do the little extras for your towels etc. (some even if you don't leave them extra:)). I will also leave 5-10% extra for the bartenders, travel aides,or whoever -puts forth that xtra effort on your behalf. The people are incredibly friendly, but don't make as much as us fortunate canadians, so show your appreciation (hopefully in USD - bring ones tens and fives because you will want them).
About the Princess - there are dozens of reviews on Debbies travel page - just do a search for "princess punta cana reviews" and Debbies page should come up:)
