    Default Calling our Weather Volunteers..

OK, so now is the time that we really need you! Jeanne seems to want to give us a swipe from Samana and all up the North Coast. During the next day or so, I'm sure we will all be glued to your real-time descriptions of what is happening, as Jeanne moves up the coast....

Here is the warning that is posted -- A HURRICANE WATCH AND A TROPICAL STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR
PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN COASTS OF THE DOMINICAN
REPUBLIC FROM CABRERA SOUTHWARD TO SANTO DOMINGO.

No, I am not a professional meterologist - at most a keen and experienced amateur. Most all weather information is come by through "others", i.e., syndicated weather information - our DR1 forecasters work with syndicated information, from Noaa, and frequently from CaribWX as well as other organizations.

I see a post disappeared from this thread! Did we have a sock puppet? I thought so! But now it looks like I'm talking to myself
