I just came back from Punta Cana and my trip was cut short due to the hurricane. I spent a lot of money and really only had 3 good days. So, I would like to go back, but funds are low now. Is there another time of the year besides hurricane season that would be a little less expensive?

According to the British holiday brochures, May/early June is cheapest as Conchman says. In reality, every time I have visited over the last few years I have always paid roundabout the same price, regardless of the time of year (haven't been Xmas/New Year though - prices skyrocket then)

Late Oct./early Nov. also seem reasonable......

At least from Canada as Europeans have left and most Canadians haven't arrived yet.
We always manage to get a good price from Toronto this time of year.
Also Christmas week (after Dec.25th and before Jan.3rd) has some great sell off prices on the charters from Toronto!
The week to 10 days immediately after Easter also seems to have a lot of sell off spots available! :cross-eye
