First of all, thanks for the respectable replies. Never sure what you're going to get when you out that out there. The only difference between me and some of my girlfriends my age, is after it's over I have a fat wad of cash, I know I am totally safe, respected and won't be stalked. I'm a writer and we all know that doesn't pay the bills. I start spanish next term and expect to be fluent within the year. I am light-skinned black so I look similar to the girls there, but I assumed most "working-girls" there are poor, aren't bi-lingual and not someone a tourist or upper-class dominican would ever want to be seen with. I want to live in paradise at least part of the year. It would be perfect if I could have an income while I'm there, but it doesn't look like it will be worth it. Who knows I do this? DR1, my sister and my madame/security. Now I will have to find a different island! Regarding my twins, they know nothing, I go out just like any other single mom, have always kept even men I date seperate from them, so they assume that's where I'm at. They would be pleased as punch to be able to spend the summer on an island where all the other kids looked like them. They start to ask questions, I throw them some money and tell them to go to the mall. So there, ya'all know my life story but obviouslly you can see, it's not something I'm ashamed of (well, I admit i would be if my girls knew, but only because I am their role model). Oh, and where do they think the money comes from? My family thinks I have a rich boyfriend (well, I guess I do, 20-30 of them) This type of work is more acceptable in the black community in the US, because up until only a couple of generations ago it was one of the only ways a single black mother could ever provide more than just the basics for her kids. People who look down on it don't understand it; it's so much better and more respectful this way than when I was dating, giving it up for free. I am extremely proud that I support not only my kids but my entire family. I had a great idea the other night, I wonder if I could do this in paradise. Obviously not, it most likely wouldn't be worth the effort. I will start racking up my frequent flyer credit card tommorrow to pay for my "business trips" back to the states. Cheers.
