Adult Entertainment/Escorting work

If a young professional classy escort is looking for work in Puerta Plata, where should she go? Is escorting/prostitution legal, and where would I find out the laws? I have been in this business for a few years, and plan on buying a house in DR. I need a way to sustain myself while I am there, as I make thousands a month in US. What is the going rate there for a high-class girl? If anyone has name and contact info of someone who would partner with me, please send. Serious replies only please.

If you want a ubiquitous profession working as an escort in the DR is like carrying coals to Newcastle -there are tens of thousands of "legal" (tolerated) prostitutes.

I think the club/casa girls if like the capital cost less than RD$3000 (for suckers) and more like RD$1,500 for experienced attendees particualrly local businessmen, and of course the house keeps 1/2 or more, so your customers are paying about $50 US for the works and the girls are getting $25 of that.

I cannot imagine the demand for a non-local "escort" in the DR at all and if there was it couldn't be at "North American" prices, many hundreds of $ that is. There would be no need for men to pay that price even if you are working independently since you are competing with girls on the street that will accept RD$500 or less, e.g. $16 US. So your market is already fractured as many tourists will only pay street prices and the small remainder are going to casas and such with, what must seem to you, very small amounts.

I am sure you'd make thousands a month just pesos at 1/33rd the value of the US$.

You must be out of your mind. If you are making thousands of dollars a month in the US as a high class call girl work for a few more years and then give up the profession and retire in the DR.

Even and old fat dude like me can find your type of action in the DR for less than $50US for an all nighter. Remember you will be competing with some of the most beautiful women in the world who?s ages will range between 16 & 25. These women have no sexual hang up and will be willing to cut your price any given day.

Hey, just checking. I have other skills that I can use in DR; I'm working on my master's degree. In the US, this is the easist money I've ever made and was just wondering if it was possible for a non-local to do in DR. There are some countries where there is a demand (japan, europe). Obviously not in DR the tradional sense. Yes, I can retire down there for at least a couple months of the year, but would be nice to have some income coming in.

If the Masters degree is in "bation" there's always massage parlor work. :)

You can probably find work just at $20 a trick not what you would expect.

Not really sure what other skills you think you have that would earn reasonable money, either, outside the sex trade.

This is a TRICK question - right Queenbbee? It is all a need to get hold of data of what people think about 'Escorts' & 'Working Girls' on this board without actually being one of them, so that you can write all this up in the book you are coming here to write (Wasn't that what you indicated in your first post??).

Although I am FAR from being 'closed minded' on sex as a trade, please be aware that I would not like to have the sideglances & nasty comments against someone who associates with "Working Girls", levied at me or at my family members/friends. So, if you ARE serious, please let me take back the offer of help I gave in another post!! ~ Grahame.

Queenbbee,

The first thing I would suggest is that you not jump into buying a house in the DR until you have lived there for a while. It is inexpensive to rent (by North American standards) and that way you can be sure it is what you want before taking on the committment of owning property which you may have a hard time selling if it doesn't work out.

Re: the your pursuit of your current occupation in the DR. I concur with the advice given already, but would point out at least one thing that would be in your favor. I am assuming that you are attractive, charming, sexy and "talented", based on your statement of how much $ you make now. Believe me when I say that in those areas you will be doing very well indeed to hold your own. Where you would have a competitive advantage is in the fact that the majority of the "market" for these services consists of English speaking tourists, and very few Dominicanas practicing the trade speak more than a few words. You would be a "novelty", and some guys are just lazy enough that they would pass up a younger, prettier Dominicana for the comfort level that communicating in their own language affords. If you can accept the fact that you will have to make your rates competetive (see earlier posts), you may be able to do enough volume to make a modest living.

Being well educated will have little benefit in seeking other employment. What is needed for this is specific in-demand skills and ability to communicate in Spanish.

Gotta weigh in here on this one. I will have to admit that when I travel to the DR...SOME of my time is spent getting down with the locals.....I just cant imagine paying for something that i could find back home.

Ok..i admit that I have payed for some boom boom in the DR (but have discovered a lot more).....

I dunno what point i am trying to make here...cept for the fact that i was a straight guy i wouldnt be playing for an expensive high class hooker in the DR when the locals are much more interesting.....dang...the women there even turn MY head...i practicaly WISH i was straight! LOL.

Well...best of luck in your endevors. I am not really sure if this thread is for real or not

Uhhhh why would I want a white girl in the DR? I married a Dominicana and don't use call girls but I am with everybody here in saying that the girls in the DR are absolutely the most beautiful girls on the planet. And there are LOTS of them there too, in every neighborhood. Heck, I'm sure you don't even have to spend any money if you don't want to especially if you speak some Spanish and stay out of the tourist traps. I think she is better off turning tricks where she is right now....just my $.02

queenbbee,
Do I recall correctly you planned to visit the DR with your 2 13 year old daughters? Might I respectfully enquire as to how you would keep secret from them your 'business' venture, if it took off? Or would it not be a secret from them?

First of all, thanks for the respectable replies. Never sure what you're going to get when you out that out there. The only difference between me and some of my girlfriends my age, is after it's over I have a fat wad of cash, I know I am totally safe, respected and won't be stalked. I'm a writer and we all know that doesn't pay the bills. I start spanish next term and expect to be fluent within the year. I am light-skinned black so I look similar to the girls there, but I assumed most "working-girls" there are poor, aren't bi-lingual and not someone a tourist or upper-class dominican would ever want to be seen with. I want to live in paradise at least part of the year. It would be perfect if I could have an income while I'm there, but it doesn't look like it will be worth it. Who knows I do this? DR1, my sister and my madame/security. Now I will have to find a different island! Regarding my twins, they know nothing, I go out just like any other single mom, have always kept even men I date seperate from them, so they assume that's where I'm at. They would be pleased as punch to be able to spend the summer on an island where all the other kids looked like them. They start to ask questions, I throw them some money and tell them to go to the mall. So there, ya'all know my life story but obviouslly you can see, it's not something I'm ashamed of (well, I admit i would be if my girls knew, but only because I am their role model). Oh, and where do they think the money comes from? My family thinks I have a rich boyfriend (well, I guess I do, 20-30 of them) This type of work is more acceptable in the black community in the US, because up until only a couple of generations ago it was one of the only ways a single black mother could ever provide more than just the basics for her kids. People who look down on it don't understand it; it's so much better and more respectful this way than when I was dating, giving it up for free. I am extremely proud that I support not only my kids but my entire family. I feel like I should direct you to my web site with pictures so you will know how to spot me..............If you're ever on the US east coast.....Yeah, I'm going to have to switch to jamaica now...........Wait, how about I give each of you a 10 percent referral fee, and a 30 percent discount if you have a valid Dr1 screen name? No, moderator, this is not an offer for services, I am just kidding as from what I gathered no one in DR wants versace, would rather bargain hunt at wallmart.
I had a great idea the other night, I wonder if I could do this in paradise. Obviously not, it most likely wouldn't be worth the effort. I will start racking up my frequent flyer credit card tommorrow to pay for my "business trips" back to the states. Cheers.

Oh this is such crap!!
I can't believe I got sucked into reading this thread.
I think it should be closed immediately.

I love Dark-skin. But any entrepreneur will tell you,"to market what is already there is fruitless." DUH!! If you had some white coochie from say Sweden, then go for it. I am sure some rich Dominican would pay top US dollar, not many would be my guess.

Trying to sell your high priced wares on any island would be total waste of time. Try some place where Dark-skin is a premium. Say ...Antarctica, perhaps?

Not hating the game, just this particular thread.

Well guys there's a big Russian and European escort services (PROSTITUTES)trade in the DR, i forgot about COLOMBIANS, VENEZUELANS and others. i really think there's no market for AMERICANAS which are used to get lots of money for renting (THEIR EQUIPMENT) for afew hours or minutes.

But you never know you might be able to open a (HOUSE) (CASA DE CITAS) called (LA AMERICANA) lol! and sell a variety of services to welthy Dominicans and tourists.

Nice post :)

It can work and others are doing it, you just need to think outside of the box a little (no pun intended). Don't you ever go on tour?

Yes, some people are paying US$1,000+ per day to be escorted here.
Ok, the guys are not local, neither are the girls, but it's happening in the DR.

As others have said, you might have a problem finding "locals' to pay your companionship rates, then again, it all depends on what those rates are?

Maybe I should change my tag-line to "Pimp Daddy" :)

An idea

If you already have established big roller/high spender clientele in the US maybe some of them would make occasional visits to you in DR. Just market it to them as “business trips” to “paradise.”

Splendid response, queenbbee. You obviously have organisational skills. Instead of offering the 'wares' yourself, why not go into the organising of the business?

which one is the Versace?

queenbbee,

Jamaica?????? I hope you're kidding me. Not only would you find the legal situation there less tolerant, but the cost of living would be MUCH higher, and you would face many of the same issues you do in the DR. Robert is right in saying that there are high prices being paid for Russian prostitutes in the DR right now. It is a niche market for customers who are looking for this type of girl in a tolerant, tropical situation, much closer to home. I don't think they do a lot of volume, and I know that out of sheer boredom and a need to make more $ the girls hang out in some of the bars in Cabarete, where they are available for much, much less than the 4-figure prices they ask for on the internet.

Your niche might be a bit tougher to find, but if you become fluently bi-lingual, you could possibly find a market as a guide/translator/adult provider at rates closer to what you are accustomed to. Based on your comments, it appears you have a minimum figure in mind which is "worth it". My guess is that you would have a trickle of tourists and once you became fluent in Spanish perhaps the occasional wealthy Dominican who might want to impress someone with some gringa "arm candy". You could maintain your contacts back home and return periodically to spend time with them. You said you are on the East Coast, and flights from NYC to the DR are reasonable. Just for the sake of effeciency, if you haven't already, develop a clientele in NYC whom you can hook up with at the beginning and end of each trip before returning to your home base.

I don't know you, and can only judge you by your words, so don't take the following too personally. Your comment about Versace and Wal-Mart was ignorant and offensive. You may or may not be as beautiful, charming and sensual as even the AVERAGE Dominicana; I have no way of knowing at this point. The prices you are able to charge for your services in the US as opposed to girls in the DR, are a result of 2 major factors. 1) legality (things are ALWAYS more expensive where they are illegal) and 2) The level of income in the respective countries. Your own appeal and the quality of your services play only a small role in setting price within a range in the market you work in.

I will confess that as a single man I have paid for female companionship both in the US and in the DR. In the US I got Wal-Mart quality for Versace prices. In the DR I got Versace quality for Wal-Mart prices . You may be the exception, but don't think for a minute that you're better than these women when it comes to giving a man what he wants!
