This is the first look at a new service we will be offering.

Since hurricane Jeanne, DR1 has responded to thousands of requests for information regarding the status of resorts and hotels.

We have been trying to fill the void for updated information given that the travel industry does not currently have a centralized information source and this has lead to lots of misinformation circulating, especially informally on the Internet as people seek to find timely information.

We have just completed an online service for posting the most accurate and up to date information on the status of the hotels and resorts, also on the complementary attractions (theme parks, golf courses, excursions), and transport access (maritime, air, ground).

Nice one

Excellent

Great from my point of view, with family in various parts of the DR, also great for planning visits to the island. Some of the 'Weather' posts during this Hurricane season were superb, and there are plenty of weather websites that give an overall idea of whats happenning, but this is on-site by those in the midst of whats occurring or about to occur.

Very good idea!

One little mistake: Bavaro Princess is definitely closed for long time!

The whole beach front part burned down about a week ago.
