I am speaking with a friend who recently moved to Santiago. She says that she is in Monte Rico II. Can anyone in Santiago help me to find it, or post a link to a map showing it?

You won't find that on most maps

That is a poor to lower middle class (but still poor) area of town. Lots of good hard working people there but also lots of thugs and lowlives. When a car gets stolen that is one of the first places the cops go to look for it...There is a lot of public housing in that area.

It is to the west of city center, out past the Zona Franca, off the Circumvalaci?n

The ironic thing is that she is thinking of moving back to New Jersey soon.
So she may be back here before I can visit her there.

Yes, I have been there

During the day and there are some "in" electronics places where you can get stuff on the cheap...Of course I stood out like a sore thumb, but it is safe enough...

It looks like my 3 home bases in Santiago are off the map - Licey, Punal, and El Inco/Invi.
