Price of paint triples?

I hear that the price of a can of interior wall paint has tripled in the past few months, as the dollar dips. And the new price is around U.S. $60. Can anyone confirm this?

The peso price has not moved much in last 6 months, still around 400-600 pesos per gallon.
At todays exchange rate it is no more than $20 US per gallon

We just bought paint last week in Santiago at Hache for 270 pesos (less than $10 per gallon). Sosua and the surrounding area is about double.
