For inveters see MrMike

in Santiago

for plantas, you have several options
1) peruse the classifieds in the Listin Diario
2) ask around Sos?a
3) When you are in Santiago talking to MrMike about the inverter you can go over to Amaro Motors and see what they have.
4) You can also try and see AZB's inverter guy. AZB swears by him. Local made, inexpensive and with good service, according to AZB Again, you have to come to Santiago.

Good hunting,

There are some planta suppliers in Puerto Plata.

Look around, I think a large plant sells for $3000 US, that's a plant that would be better for a farm than a house.

Will be selling my inverter

I hope I am not breaking any DR1 rules with this post. If so, please delete me.

In about one month I'll be moving and selling my inverter. It's a 3 month old 2400 watt Xantrez-Trace (the best) along with 4 batteries of the same age. It gave me enough power for a fridge, lights for a 2 bedroom apt, 2 tvs and dvds, stereo, etc. (no air conditioning) and charged in about 3 hours. It works so well that the only way that I know that the power is out is by the noise from the planta across the street. - D
