So far no snow on the ground. Where is the "white " Christmas?
Us Canadians had always celebrated the holly days having the

Are you saying that you want snow????
I am sooo glad we do not have snow yet. The only white stuff on the ground I want is SAND!! lol

Feliz Navidad a todos!!!

I will be in the DR at 8pm on Dec.25...so I guess I will be missing most of the christmas-y things....

Does anyone know if there are any christmas customs they have in the DR that are at all different then Canada or the USA?

The "white Christmas" is here in Northwestern Ontario, snowing like a son of a gun today, actually 5th day in a row. You want some snow, come up to the real Canada, it does exist outside of Toronto, you know !!!! Just kidding LOL

Monday Dec 6, 2004,
Got up this morning and... 4 inches of fresh snow finally piled up on the
ground! "White xmas" is here !!! Snowmobiling, for sure is different than
sunbathing in the DR...Georgios.

Hi Marlie,
Just this morning 4 inches of snow fell on the ground...more coming later.
Snowing 5 days in a row is bad wheather. Do you guys up there deal with bad wheather the Dominican way? My sourses tell me, when it rains for days
the dominicans have nothing else to do but stay home and make babies!
Personally, I hit the trail on my snowmobile near the muskokas.

If you want to get away from snow visit www.itravel.ca.
The offer some great last minute deals for Pto Plata, DR.

Cheers...Georgios.

Looks like you got your wish, did you see the blizzard this morning? Next time you have wishes of snowflakes please try and keep them to yourself! I would much rather have a navidad that consisted of white sand rather than white snow!

LOL - well, I am too old for that - not the making part - just the having them !!!!
Actually, it is so warm that the snow isn't staying, we maybe have 2-3 inches only after all those days, and rain expected tomorrow!! Can't get the snowmachine out yet!! We have only 2 inches of ice on the lake (Lake of the Woods) in front of our house - so we can't even go ice fishing!!

Hmmm - maybe we should try the Dominican way- at least until the amount of snow allows us to do something we actually enjoy !!! LOL ;)

Anyway, Have a very happy holiday season,
Marlie

Not enough DR content.

This is the LIVING Forum, for DR1.
Which is about the Dominican Republic.

IM, PM, E-Mail, Page, Telephone, Television, Newspaper, Letter Write, Post Card mail, each other, about the snow in the Northen Hemisphere, that's cool.

But we should not be posting about it, in DR1's Living Forum.

Thanks
Tim H. :bandit:
