I have just completed a photosite that includes my trips to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo. There are pictures of the Paradisus, Barcelo Beach Resort in Punta Cana, Barcelo Capella in Juan Dolio and the Hamaca Beach Resort in Boca Chica. As well as day trips I have taken.

If you'd like to view, you may go to www.tracyp.photosite.com

Great Pics Tracy. I'm going to Punta Cana in 7 weeks (45 days actually but who's counting!) so I loved the pictures of Bavaro beach.

Thanks, Tracy. Very nice pictures. Which resort was your favorite?
TEHAMA

I really liked the Paradisus for the resort, but the beach at the Barcelo Beach
I think was better. There seemed to be more palm trees there. But by far, the resorts in Punta Cana have better beaches...

Very nice pics Tracy. I did not know the DR had Zip Lines. Did you by chance do the Zip Lines while in CR? Where was the oxcart photo taken?

Hi,

The Zip Line in Punta Cana just started at the end of Sep/first of Oct. I was one of the first 100 people to go on it.

I did do the zip line in Costa Rica also and loved it, that's why I did the one in the DR.

The red wagon/oxcart was taken at my hotel in Costa Rica, the Paradisus.

Lucky you! I hope it does well. I would like to see one open near SD and one on the North Coast.

How does the Zip Line compare to those in Costa Rica? I did the San Lorenzo Canopy Tour in CR and it was one of the highlights of my trip.

The biggest difference would be the scenery and the HEAT..The zip line I did in C.R. was in the canopy, I rarely saw the ground and was a lot higher up. I woke up barely able to move the morning after in Costa Rica..

In the D.R. the platforms are built to where is was easier to clip onto the zip line, therefore it was easier to move the next morning. But the heat and the walking & climbing to the different platforms wore me out.

Thanks for the info. I usually don't go to the Punta Cana area but the zip lines would make it worth a trip. The zip lines look so easy until you try them. I know about the exhaustion.

Would you happen to know the link to the website for the Zip Lines?
