Over the Christmas break I went down to St. Augustine, Florida and met with two friends I grew up with in La Romana back in the fifties and sixties. We hadn't seen each other in over thirty years. Many of us used to all keep in touch and have regular reunions but over the last ten years have lost contact. If it weren't for DR1.com we might not have ever gotten together this time. Carlos D, Barbara B and I met and had a nice latin meal. The arroz con pollo was good but not like it is made in the DR. We looked at old photographs of ourselves and others and reminisced about the good times we had growing up in paradise.
So, if there are any more of you long lost souls out there, get in contact with one of us so we can plan for a bigger reunion next year. How about Ricky T. in Louisiana, Richard D. in Santo Domingo, Hugo K., Olga, etc., etc., etc.
