I was trying to figure out how to call the states from here on my cell phone. It's an 800 number. I tried 800 xxx xxxx and that didn't work. Then I was told to dial 1000 800 xxx xxxx and that didn't work either. Anyone know how to successfully complete a call to an 800 in the US on a cell phone?

I found the answer

For those of you who might want the info, apparently you dial 1880 and then the 7-digits following the "800" of the number.

You will find that by dialing the 880 you will pay more that a direct dial to the main number. there is a surcharge on an 880,881 call.
