I would think in Ochoa...or...You could just hang the meat outside on a wire (like Dominicans do). Let it dry in the sun and call it Bofe...Very good fried...don't eat it raw though...

Thank you for the good ideas

Thank you very much. Where do you buy good, lean meat in Santiago for making the jerky?

That's the meat I usually buy, which can be found in most of the larger supermarkets. I buy mine in Supermercado Ole. Stick it in the freezer until it is almost frozen, which makes it easier to cut thin strips..
Just look in the fresh meat section for a fairly large slab of meat.

Do you have a marinating receipe. or would you like me to give you one???

I found some online but would love to have yours.

1/2 cup Teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup Soy sauce
1/2 cup Worcheshire sauce
2/3 squirts of Salsa Picante
2 tbsp. Onion Powder
2 tbsp. Garlic Powder
1 tbsp. Pepper

Dump all of your cut strips into this sauce, cover, stick in the Reefer for a day or two, then throw them in the oven.
(sorry about the spelling of worchese...worchestshir.... westchester.....&$%^)

Thank you JDJones, The ones I saw did not have the Salsa. Sounds good.
