moped/scooter rental

Im going to be in Juan Dolio Beach in a few weeks and was wondering what kind of things there are to do around that area during the days. I was thinking of renting a moped for a few days and checking out Santo Domingo and surrounding areas. Does anybody know how much it would cost to keep a moped for 2 or 3 days, and where I would go to do that? Also, does anybody know about things worth seeing in the area (other than the beach).

Don't Let Your Friends See You...

They say that riding a moped is like making love to a fat woman. It might be a lot of fun but you would never want your friends to see you doing it. hehe

Moped ride to S.D.....?

Please do not rent a moped and attempt to ride into Santo Domingo to sightsee. First, there will be no place to secure the moped and If you get off for three seconds it will disappear faster than one of sigfried and roy's tigers. Second, The road from Juan Dolio is already dirty and bumpy enough.... no need for us to have to another bloody bump to avoid, which is what you will most likely become.

Have fun....catch a ride, it's cheap enough
