    Default Internet in the DR

    Hi,

We are moving to Cabarete in the DR. Does anyone know what the best options are for a good, fast and not too expensive connection?

    Thanks,
    Chantal

You can get dial-up and flash from Verizon. Flash more expensive, but much faster.

...and dial-up is very unreliable. You can get 9.6Kb or 48Kb but with Flash you get much more reliable connectivity. Flash == DSL, by the way.

    Default How about Laptop

I have a 3-g card from Centenial, It works great for me, have even sent Emails from my car.

Its not Flash but its faster then dial up and not a bad deal at Rd $1800 Pesos a month, plus you don't need a phone.

I take it with me all over and have Internet on the north Coast just about any where I go.

    See verizon.com.do website.
There is different plans of internet you can chose from.
Internet Dial up vip+ incl. phone is 1325 per month + tax.
Flash vip + is a little over 2000 per month.
